Sometimes I feel like eyelet can look too feminine and I tend to not gravitate towards that genre of clothing. These eyelets though, have some laser cutouts and feel more contemporary than the classic eyelet.

I have thing for ruffles. This particular cardigan was particularity fun because it has ruffles made out of three different fabrications. The textures are really different but also work together very well to create movement.

Aside from the bubbly print that I love about this shirt....it's because of the lower scooped back that was the deciding factor for the purchase. I have a thing for plunging backlines..I think it's due to the fact that I am more "petite" in the bust. Therefore, to capture a little sexiness, I like my party in the back.

This coral color was an unexpected purchase for me while in Chicago. I was not prepared for how COLD it got at night. I rushed into the closest mall and frantically looked for anything that would keep me warm. Not only is this cashmere sweater oh so soft and warm, the perfect peachy color is beautiful.

The grandpa sweater is one of those pieces that we all love to have in our closets. It's comfy and cozy and I like to pair it with tees and leggings on those days where I need to run my errands. Why can't I be just as comfortable on a night out? Thus, today I paired it with some leather shorts and leg lengthening, high heeled, suede booties. That's what I call edgy grandpa!

It's hard to capture on camera but in person, this sequined T-shirt shimmers like a disco ball. Therefore, to tone it down all that shine, I paired it with a slouchy worn in pair of chinos. I like the easy luxe vibe of the outfit.

Camel and Navy are those two very classic colors that are a staple in every wardrobe and go with everything. When paired together, it's very east coast prep. This stripe-y sweater has sweatshirt-like neck detailing and two big pockets....and who doesn't like pockets?

I was always a bit skeptical of how I could possibly pull off the oh so trendy floral/printed pants. Most of the floral patterns I saw earlier in the season were really bright and bold. There was no way I could get myself to invest in a pair of expensive flower power pants that I would maybe only wear a couple of times.
While casually shopping a couple weeks back, I found these pants. Sure, they were extremely floral, but because of the color palatte, read subtle at the same time. I've always said that patterns and prints are very personal, and if you're drawn to it, then go for it!

There's just somthing about swing jackets that I just love. It reminds me of the little French school girl, Madeline. The jacket I am wearing is a more modern version of the classic swing jacket. It's cropped with puffy sleeves, but the best part of it all is the fun black and white geometric print.

While in Sorrento a few months back, I was introduced to this lemon liquor called Limoncello. Our tour guide said that his wife made this drink at home. It was basically a mixture of pure alcohol, fresh lemon juice and sugar all fermented together. The result was this beautiful, almost bright neon yellow colored beverage. Too bad it looked far better than it tasted.

Funny how the two most simple colors are the most chic. I know at the moment the more colorful, the better. But at the end of the day....nothing looks more modern, elegant and timeless than black and white.
