Pre-Fall

Even though Fall officially hit on September 22nd, I still feel like it's Pre-Fall because it's still so darn warm!

This outfit is the perfect example of Pre-Fall because I'm wearing a thicker sweater and cool colors but pairing it with sandals.  I'm not quite ready to put away all my sandals yet.  Perhaps in another month or so..but as of now, I'm getting my hurrah with my summer shoes.

Mixing Prints

I don't usually wear prints, let alone mix them together...so this outfit is pretty loud for me.  I've seen mixing stripes with prints plenty of times on street style blogs but was always wary of how I could possibly pull it off.   But the funny thing is...somehow it kind of works.

Cheap Frills

This season is all about chunky knits which is music to my ears because I LOVE thick knits....the chunkier, the better.  This piece in particular is not only made of soft, plush wool, there's frills along the bottom hemline as well as the sleeves.  I love how that the frills adds whimsy and texture to the whole look.

Miz Marant

It seems like every season, Miz Marant produces these fun boucle sweater jackets that I just cannot resist.  Ok, they're not lined and a smidgen itchy sometimes....but I love the style, fit and the price is decent.  This season's jacket has some subtle metallic threading that gives the jacket a little shine!

Olive Neutrals

This little olive sweater dress always reminds me of the dresses I had as a child.  The large pockets in the front and the boxy silhouette are the characteristics that I like the best about the dress.

Evening with H

It's kind of amazing how much work goes into each hand crafted item.  I had a lovely time at H's Festival des Metiers soiree.  The tent felt like Willy Wonka's candy factory....except filled with french artisans, brightly colored scarves and leathers.  Not to mention all the H fans that were decked out in their beautiful bags and accessories.  It was quite a feast for the eyes.  

It was a chilly evening in the city, so I opted for something simple and comfortable...the tent though, was a bit warm..so the scarf was left with my coat.  

I hope you H lovers out there in SF get a chance to check out the exhibit that runs through the 24th in Union Square!

Urban Girly

I don't usually wear boyfriend jeans because I'm more of the skinny jean type of gal.  But they are very comfortable and injects a bit of urban chicness to my outfit.

Went to a lovely garden wedding the other weekend...The weather was perfect, not too hot and not too cold.  The grounds were quite beautiful so we snuck away for a few after ceremony pictures.

Sailor Girl

I'm such a sucker for striped shirts and I already have too many.  I found a brand at Anthropologie that has really caught my attention because they make the cutest striped shirts.  The first striped shirt I bought here had a silky bottom hem...then they had to go and make a different striped shirt with an eyelet hem.  It was just too cute.  But my husband quickly spoiled my joy by saying that I reminded him of a sailor today.

Back to Business

Hi Everyone!  After a short hiatus, I'm back!  Thank you all for your kind words.  I feel better and I know I am growing stronger with each passing day!  

Can't wait to share some of new pieces I've purchased lately!  After looking at all the beautiful and colorful clothing coming down the runway @ NYFW, I'm inspired to go put on some color!
